Itamar, a popular character in Israeli children's literature, was created by one of the most important Israeli writers, David Grossman.
Itamar has an amazing gift - at night when everyone is asleep he walks on walls. He climbs up the walls of his bedroom and enters one of the pictures. “When you enter a picture you see and hear things that you don’t see and hear from the outside."
The play is especially rich visually and utilizes a variety of puppetry techniques. Music and songs were especially written for the production.
A prize winner in the Haifa Festival, Sharona Shapiro’s “Ameritsa Theater” has successfully performed in Israel and in many international
festivals in Europe and Asia during the past seventeen years. Sharona performs in Hebrew and English.
