Teapacks in concert

Teapacks’ unique sound can be best described as a Middle Eastern-Rock fusion, which has brought the band to the top of the charts in Israel for numerous times during its almost two decades of action. The band–which as headliner of Israel in the Ballpark 2004–made the local Jewish and Israeli community dance for two hours, returns to the Bay Area. Originally from the development town of Qasam bombarded Sderot in the Negev, Teapacks and its leader, Kobi Oz, have made the authentic voice of the Mizrahi periphery heard, and fused it with authentic social-political protest and hip rock-pop. Recently, Teapacks gained massive international publicity for its controversial Eurovision Song Contest entry, “Push the Button,” which was covered by The New York Times and CNN.
