Small Stage

11:00 am - 11:30 pm: Happy Birthday to Israel Early Childhood Style

Come see Mimi Greisman: Early Childhood Educator of Sherith Israel celebrate Israel's birthday with music, singing puppets, bubbles, and parachute time.

For all young children and their young at heart parents.

11:45 am- 12:15 pm: "Yay for Yisrael"

It's Israel's 57th birthday bash, and you're all invited! Come join Diana Shmiana and her wacky friends as they throw a party for Israel. Sing along with Rockin' Rivka's Hebrew Hit Parade!

An edu-taining tribute to Israel, "Yay for Yisrael" is an original show featuring songs, magic, clowning, puppets, and lots of audience participation.

The show is perfect for children 3-7 years old and for Family programs. Audiences will make dazzling discoveries about Israel's geography, cultural diversity, and quest for peace. They'll also learn some Hebrew!

12:30 pm - 1:00 pm: Belly dance workshop with Shiri Mordechay

For centuries, the role of Oriental dance in Middle Eastern society has been that of a folk dance that people would do at joyous occasions such as weddings, the birth of a child, community festivals, and other events that bring people together to party. It was a dance that men, women, and children did for fun.

FOR THE FIRST TIME Israel in the gardens gives you the opportunity to learn the basics moves of this ancient dance and learn to "shake it" to the sound of Israeli music. This workshop is appropriate for all ages.

1:15 pm- 1:45 pm: Modern dance workshop led by the Jewish High School of the Bay students

Israeli huge map

A huge land floor map (380 Sq) with inflatable side rails. The Map acts as a "virtual Israel," bringing the State to the community

11:00 am - 12:00 pm: - Activities on the Map led by Camp Tawonga & Friends of Nature’s Shlichim

12:15 pm- 12:45 pm: Stories on the Map (Al Hampa):

Hebrew and English story telling on the huge Map by the main stage. Collaboration between Doron Nesher +Joel Ben Issy.

1:30 pm - 3:00 pm: "Trekin: Israel" USY/BBYO (led by teens for teens)

Come meet Jewish teens and test your knowledge about Israeli geography, history, and culture.

 

Israel Archeology tent

11:00 am- 3:00 pm: "You be the Archaeologist" is a program that allows kids to get in the dirt (sand box) and search for artifacts from ancient Israel. Kids will reassemble the artifacts recovered, including a mysterious inscription in an ancient Hebrew that they will translate into Modern Hebrew."

 

Jerusalem tent

11:00 am - 3:00 pm: Celebrating Shavuot holiday and the city of Jerusalem in Jerusalem tent. Children can put a note in the kotel, make there own Shavuot wreath, color Israeli flags and be in a creative, educational environment.

 

The Buddy club

11:00 am - 3:00 pm: Stilt walkers, Juggling workshop, clown balloon artist and a roaming magician scattered all around the Gardens.

 

Youth Activities

11:00 am - 3:00 pm: Diller's Tent, Tawonga coloring faces, Krav Maga Demonstration
