Israel in the Gardens
About Israel in the Gardens

For over 30 years, the San Francisco Jewish community has celebrated Israel's Independence Day. This day expresses our connection with Israel, our solidarity with its people, and the central role Israel plays in our Jewish identity. It is also a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and showcase our achievements.

This event, which takes place this year on Sunday June 3, 2007 in San Francisco, attracts attendees from all over the Bay Area, including the North Bay, East Bay, Peninsula, San Jose, and Sacramento areas. This day brings together long-time Jewish Bay Area residents as well as newer arrivals from Israel, the former Soviet Union, and other countries. There are events for people of all ages - adults, children, teens, college students, young adults and seniors. In recent years this event has become the single largest annual gathering of Jews in the Bay Area, last year attracting more than 15,000 people.

This year, Israel in the Gardens will return once again to Yerba Buena Gardens in the heart of San Francisco, near the convention center, the Metreon, Zeum, SFMOMA and Union Square.

What makes Israel in the Gardens a success is your participation and the presence of our local Jewish organizations and synagogues.

A very special Thank You to the Friends of the Israel in the Gardens.
