May 10 - The Israeli Man. Ido Siemion was our guest. The Israeli man is characterized by a complexity that often includes an old heritage of sensitiveness and vulnerability as well as a stereotypical macho, rough, and no nonsense attitude. We discussed the forces that have gone into shaping his identity. Through watching excerpts from the Israeli movie "Walk on Water" as well as from the successful TV series "Betipul" (In Therapy) we visited the historical and contemporary sign posts that are central to shaping his internal world and thus attempt to understand his way of life, his view of the world and the challenges he faces.

Ido Siemion is an integral psychotherapist in private practice internship in San Francisco. He brings a decade of theoretical and embodied experience, exploring body, mind and spirit. His practice weaves together psychological and spiritual elements of growth. He holds an MA in Somatic Psychotherapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies and is currently working towards a PhD in East-West Psychology.

June 14 - beTipul .In the last cafe of this season, we watched a chapter from "betipul", a successful Israeli TV drama, and will talked about psychology, dreams and personal growth.
